Issue Details

I am trying to use my newly purchased SEA 9405 Module in my CompactRIO chassis, but I am seeing an error. I have tried on multiple systems and the error is consistent.

An internal software error has occurred. Please contact National Instruments technical support at ni.com/support with the following information:

Error 7 occurred at an unidentified location

Possible reason(s):

LabVIEW: (Hex 0x7) File not found. The file might be in a different location or deleted. Use the command prompt or the file explorer to verify that the path is correct.

Solution

To resolve this error, please perform the following steps:

After installing the driver software for the SEA 9405 in JKI VI Package Manager (VIPM):
  1. Perform a Mass Compile of the LabVIEW "Other" folder. This will be located in a path similar to: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2020\Targets\NI\FPGA\cRIO\other - For LabVIEW 2020 using 32-bit LabVIEW. Some errors may occur during the mass compile, these can be safely ignored
  2. Uninstall the 9405 driver software from VIPM and then reinstall the package again
