Issue Details

I did plug the default Ethernet cable between MP500 TCL3 and my PC. However I failed to find the MP500 TCL3 resource in MPManager through TCP/IP and failed to ping the MP500 device in windows command line. How can I managed to connect MP500 TCL3 to my PC by TCP/IP?

Solution

Before you connect the Micropross through TCP/IP, there may some tips need to be checked.
  1. There's no local IT software or firewall to block the TCP/IP communication for security reason. You can try a personal laptop with a direct connection to MP device.
  2. Before the TCP/IP setting for MP device, connect the TCL3 with a USB cable.
  3. When connect the TCL3 in MPManager with USB , you can modify and set the IP/Mask/Gateway in TCL3 configuration panel. Save it , reboot it and check if the config successful applied.
  4. Change your laptop IPV4 address in network config, make sure it's the same Mask and Gateway. Only last bits of IP address is different. For example:

    Your MP device IP setting:
    IP : 192.168.107.123
    Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.1

    Your PC IP setting:
    IP : 192.168.107.120
    Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.1

  5. Then directly connect the MP device and your PC through Ethernet cable, Open MPManager and you will see the corresponding MP device appearing in connection window.
