I recently updated my LabVIEW from an older legacy version to a later version. When I opened my old legacy VI on the newer version, my LabVIEW block diagram appeared to be very large with a lot of blank spaces. If I try to scroll around or use the navigation window (Ctrl+Shift+N), my LabVIEW VI would stop responding.
The unexpected blank space in the block diagram exists because of any node, API, or structure that is present on another far end of the block diagram. Because of the large size of the block diagram, it might not be quite visible in the navigation window as well. Remove the stray element(s) or bring it near the rest of the code to decrease the block diagram size.
If the block diagram stops responding while scrolling until the location where the other component exists, first decrease the empty spaces by using space reduction (Ctrl+Alt+Drag) feature of the LabVIEW. This feature might not be available in older LabVIEW versions.
