  • sbRIO-9628

Issue Details

  • I am currently using sbRIO-9628 connected to my host PC using USB. When I try to connect it with LabVIEW, I encountered the error: Access denied. The host computer IP address is not on the target's allowable access list.
  • I am having issues trying to connect to my Real-Time target in my LabVIEW project. I am able to see the target in NI MAX and add it to a LabVIEW project. However, when I try to connect to it in LabVIEW, I get the following error: Access denied. The host computer IP address is not on the target's allowable access list.

Solution

This could be an issue where the software hasn't been installed correctly onto the target, or it could be that you have restricted access to only certain IP addresses when in use previously.

1. To resolve this issue, use the Format Disk tool in NI MAX. Check the Attempt to Restart into Safe Mode box. Select to Reset all of the networks adapters to their default settings.

2. Connect the sbRIO with host PC using Ethernet cable instead of USB cable.

Additional Information

When connecting with real-time target, NI recommends using the USB device port only for configuration, debug, and maintenance.
