How to Increase Screen Resolution of PXIe Controller

Issue Details

  • I reinstalled the operating system (OS) of my PXI controller but now I only have access to lower resolution compared to what I had access before
  • I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and now I can't set the proper screen resolution.

Solution

After reinstalling or upgrading the OS, you have to install the Firmware and Peripheral Drivers for Controller based on the type of your controller.

For example: PXIe-8881 Firmware and Additional Drivers, PXIe-8880 Firmware and Additional Drivers

You also can update graphic card driver manually by using Device Manager in Windows. Alternately, you can try a different monitor, preferably a newer and larger one.

Additional Information

Kindly ensure the monitor you are using is compatible with the resolution you are planning to implement else the monitor will be the factor that affect your video display resolution.
