Solution
This behavior may be expected depending on the version of LabVIEW you are using. Check your version of LabVIEW, and read the corresponding section below for more information.
It should be noted that CompactRIO devices are not supported in LabVIEW FPGA 64-bit. Refer to FPGA Target Support for the LabVIEW FPGA Module 64-bit for further details.
LabVIEW 2020 or Previous Versions
Prior to the 2021 release, the LabVIEW Real-Time Module was only available for 32-bit development environments, and therefore could only be used with LabVIEW 32-bit. Software requirements of CompactRIO driver include the LabVIEW Real-Time Module.
Because of this, viewing Real-Time targets is not possible with 64-bit LabVIEW.
LabVIEW 2021 or Later Versions
LabVIEW Real-Time Module 64-bit is available as of version 2021, however, it only supports the following subset of the hardware supported in the 32-bit version:
- Real-Time Desktop
- Real-Time FlexRIO
- Real-Time PXI
For support of other real-time hardware, such as CompactRIO, install both LabVIEW and LabVIEW Real-Time Module versions you will use, but make sure that they are 32-bit.
Or you can install CompactRIO 2022 Q4 as this is the first version that supports LabVIEW RT 2022 64-Bit and LabVIEW FPGA 2022 64-Bit.
