Plugin Errors When Uninstalling Software Using NI Package Manager

Issue Details

When trying to uninstall my software using NI Package Manager I receive the error below:


We encountered a problem: 
A Plugin returned one or more errors at the end of the transaction.
Additional error information:
The path to the MetaUninstaller executable could not be found on the system.

 

 

Solution

This may occur when the software file become corrupted during installation. Hence the uninstaller files could not be found through the file explorer on your PC.
  • Follow the steps below to solve the issue:
  1. Download the attached files - InstallValidator.exe and uninst.exe.
  2. Copy and paste the files to C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\NIUninstaller.
  3. Try uninstalling the software again.
  • If you receive errors regarding missing resources in the software you installed,  repair  them in NI Package Manager.
  • If repairing the software in NI Package Manager does not work. As a final resort, remove all the NI software by following the steps below:
  1. Remove the software in NI Package Manager.
  2. Remove the NI Package Manager.
  3. Install the software you want to keep on your computer.
