Issue Details

When trying to uninstall my software using NI Package Manager I receive the error below:

We encountered a problem:
A Plugin returned one or more errors at the end of the transaction.
Additional error information:
The path to the MetaUninstaller executable could not be found on the system.

Solution

This may occur when the install is corrupted, and so the uninstaller files are not found in the file explorer on your PC.
  • To fix this please try to follow the steps below:
  1. Download the attached files - InstallValidator.exe and uninst.exe.
  2. Copy the files to C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\NIUninstaller.
  3. Try uninstalling the software again.
  • If you then receive errors in the software you installed regarding missing resources, please repair all installed software in NI Package Manager.
  • If repairing the software in NI Package Manager doesn't work, and as a last resort, remove all the NI software by following these steps:
  1. Remove the software in NI Package Manager.
  2. Remove the NI Package Manager.
  3. Install the software you want to keep on your computer.
