Inrush Current Effect on Maximum Power Consumption

Issue Details

I am interested in maximum power consumption at the boot of compactRIO device. When I see the specification sheet of compactRIO, there is Maximum power consumption item. But I think that when the device is powered up inrush current should be considered. Is it possible that the effect of inrush current exceeds the maximum power consumption specification ?

Solution

No. The maximum power consumption specification is defined to give confidence to users to design the system under a worst-case scenario.

During the boot what the compactRIO experiences could not be specifically inrush current itself as other behavior involved during that process. Even in this case, the system never exceeds the maximum power consumption that is mentioned in the datasheet.
