Issue Details

What version of the LabVIEW myRIO Toolkit do I need to use to program my myRIO in my version of LabVIEW?

Solution

To ensure compatibility, you will need to install the version of the LabVIEW myRIO Toolkit that matches your version of LabVIEW. For example, if you have LabVIEW 2019, you will need to install the 2019 LabVIEW myRIO Toolkit to avoid incompatibility and further programming issues.

Additionally, the LabVIEW myRIO Toolkit is only compatible with 32-bit LabVIEW, so be sure to install LabVIEW 32-bit even if you are working on a 64-bit operating system.

The latest available LabVIEW myRIO Toolkit is 2021 SP1, and the latest LabVIEW compatible with this toolkit is LabVIEW 2021 SP1.

Additional Information

If you wish to use your myRIO device in a later version of LabVIEW, you will need to install the CompactRIO driver.

The only difference will be that the LabVIEW myRIO Toolkit includes ready-to-use VIs and LabVIEW codes written for myRIO, but as it is not compatible with later versions of LabVIEW than the 2021SP1 version, when using a later version of LabVIEW, you will need to write your own codes for myRIO.
