I can't license latest software in a Volume License Server

Issue Details

  • I am part of a Volume License Agreement and when I try to license my software connecting to a Volume License Server the 2020 software is not being licensed.
  • 2019 software is licensed, but when I install software 2020 it shows in evaluation mode when connecting to a Volume License Server.

Solution

For security reasons, this solution is dependent if you are the software administrator of the Volume License Agreement of your enterprise. Please follow the steps depending if you are the software administrator or not:

 
If you are the software administrator of a VLA:
  • Please request a new License File at agreements@ni.com, for further information you can check this document.
  • Remember to create a back up of your current server. 
If you are not the software administrator:
  • Contact your software administrator to do the steps above so you can license 2020 software.

Additional Information

This solution doesn't work in a Single Seat Activation. This process is helpful during the release of new NI software in a Volume License Agreement .
