IDNet Instrument Drivers Compatibility With Newer Software Versions

Issue Details

  • I found a driver at the NI Instrument Driver Network (IDNet) for my third party instrument, but the latest release is listed for an older version of my application development environment (LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, etc.).
  • Can I use the instrument driver listed at IDNet with a newer version of my NI application development environment?

Solution

The  software versions listed at IDNet are  the minimum supported versions of that software. Thus, the instrument drivers can be used with newer  versions of the application development environment software.
