Solution
Activation issues may occur due to an account mismatch when using Community Edition software. If you are unable to activate your Community Edition software, the steps below have been effective in many cases for obtaining the appropriate Community Edition license.
Note: Before downloading the LabVIEW Community Edition installer, ensure that you are logged in to your NI account. If you do not already have an NI account, please create one first.
-
If you see a message stating that there is no associated license with your account, verify that you are connected to a network using IPv4. You may need to disable IPv6 in your network adapter settings.
-
If the software prompts you to activate the Professional Edition, ensure that LabVIEW Community Edition is installed instead of a commercial LabVIEW edition. If LabVIEW Professional is currently installed, log out of NI License Manager, then re‑download LabVIEW Community Edition using the same user ID you will use to log in to NI License Manager. Finally, launch NI License Manager, sign in, and attempt activation again.
If you are still unable to activate LabVIEW Community Edition, please contact NI Support through the Service Request Manager. If you do not have an active license agreement or a Standard Service Program (SSP) subscription, you can select the Request Activation Help option to create a support case and receive assistance from an NI representative.
