  • LabVIEW Digital Filter Design Toolkit

Issue Details

I installed LabVIEW 2022 Q3 and do not see the LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit, LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit, or the LabVIEW Application Builder Module listed in NI License Manager. Is this behavior expected?

Solution

There have been changes in the NI Licensing Backend, which lead to the absence of the files during the 2022 Q3 release. For the 2023 Q1 release, additional changes have been implemented to correct the behavior, so the files are installed for the 2023 Q1 releases.

To use your toolkit licenses together with LabVIEW 2022 Q3, please follow these steps.

  1. Close NI License Manager and all other NI Software.
  2. Download the attachment.
  3. Copy the lc files from the zip into the folderĀ C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\License Manager\Licenses
  4. Start NI License Manager again. Now, the additional licenses should show up.
  5. Activate the separate licenses using your toolkit licenses.

Additional Information

If your company is hosting its own licensing server, and the license file was created between the two backend changes, your administrator will need to request a new license file as described in Obtaining a License File for Server.
