Starting from the 15th of June 2022 Microsoft Internet Explorer (Microsoft IE) is officially retired. But there is still a possibility of using the Explorer engine within Microsoft Edge with the use of IE Mode. This article will follow a step-by-step guide on activating the IE Mode in Microsoft Edge.

To activate the IE Mode inside the Microsoft Edge go to the Settings section by clicking on Settings and More (three dots on the upper right corner of the browser window) and then select Settings.

You can easily recognize that you are in the IE mode by having a look at the search bar where you can see the Internet Explorer Logo.

Next Steps

To make the access to the IE mode easier you can go to Setting of the Browser, then Appearance, and Turn ON the Show Internet Explorer mode (IE Mode) button on Toolbar option.

This makes the "Reload in Internet Explorer" option always visible on the Toolbar of Microsoft Edge Browser.

NOTE: Not all the websites are supported in the IE mode. If the website is supported, then the IE Mode icon is going to be colored and the "Reload in Internet Explorer" option active (selectable) in the Settings and More.
