NI Route Coordinator Error when Installing NI-USRP Software

Issue Details

When I attempt to install NI-USRP driver, I get the following similar error:

An error occurred while installing a package:ni-roco (21.0.0.49457-0+f305)

Additional error information:
An error occurred while installing the MSI at 'nirocoi64.msi'. Service 'NI Route Coordinator'(niroco) could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to stop system services.


What should I do to continue with the installation?

Solution

It is possible that NI Route Coordinator could not be stopped during installation. Try to stop NI Route Coordinator service for continue with the installation.
You can access Services by pressing Win + R to open the Run window, type "services.msc" and hit Enter or press OK.
You should be able locate NI Route Coordinator in Services as below shown.

After done the installation, you can start the service running again.

Additional Information

NI Route Coordinator service is use to coordinates signal routing on NI hardware. If this service is stopped, some NI programs and hardware will not function properly.
