Why does RFSA soft panel not recognize PXIe-5831

Issue Details

When you download and install the latest driver RFSA 21.8 , open the RFSA Software Front Panel , the soft panel will prompt that the corresponding device cannot be found; but in NI MAX we can see the PXIe-5820 and PXIe-3622 , and both are Ready; why is this?

Solution

You look at the Readme of RFSA 21.5 and find the following description:

Therefore, you can see that the RFSA driver and the corresponding API support all VST/VSA devices, but the NI-RFSA Software Front Panel only supports some devices; the same is true for the corresponding RFSG SFP, which can be viewed by referring to the RFSA Readme document;

Additional Information

The Readme file of RFSA 21.8 does not have an introduction to the Supported Hardware section, but you can see the feature differences between RFSA 21.8 and RFSA 21.5; So you can see that the Support Hardware list of RFSA has not changed, just refer to the Readme information of RFSA 21.5;
In addition, RFmx SpecAn software supports PXIe-5831 and other devices, and SpecAn is also free software, it is recommended to use RFmx SpecAn instead of RFSA SFP;
