Base Images Not Showing Up on PXI Express Software Installation

Issue Details

I already downloaded all the needed software to set up my PXI Express Controller, and the NI Linux Real-Time (RT) System Image from the NI Package Manager.

• LabVIEW 
• LabVIEW Real-Time Module
• PXI Platform Services
• NI Linux RT System Image 

Now, I'm trying to install the NI Linux RT System Image into my PXI Express, however, when attempting to select the Base System Image, the list appears empty. 

Solution

This issue is caused by having a BIOS version older than the minimum BIOS version for NI-Linux RT support installed on your controller. 
Go to NI Hardware and Operating System Compatibility  and download the Minimum BIOS version for NI-Linux RT support indicated in the Notes section of your specific controller page: 

After downloading the BIOS version follow the instructions included in the compressed folder to update the BIOS on your controller.  
Once the BIOS has been updated to the required minimum version, the installed NI Linux RT System Images installed on your host should appear listed under Base System Images.
