OS Language Didn’t Update After Change Settings in PXIE Controller

Issue Details

I purchased a PXIe controller that was installed with Windows 10 Chinese. I want to change the operating system language to English so edit the settings in Control Panels. However, some menu in Windows OS didn't update to English after edited the settings.

Solution

Some PXIe controllers from NI are installed with Windows single language edition which is not supported by multiple languages. You may refer to the Microsoft manual to check whether your version of Windows supports multiple languages.

For example, in Windows 10, select Start  > Settings  > About, and then scroll down to the Windows specification section. If you see Windows 10 Home Single Language next to Edition, you need to upgrade to Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro.

Additional Information

Depending on your controller's model, it is possible to change your Windows OS. NI will still provide support for the controller if that PXI(e) controller still has (or previously had) support for that OS. Please refer to related links for more details about changing OS in PXIe controller.
