Issue Details

I am using PharLap RT and saving all my csv data in HDD attached to PXI Controller. The time taken for each data to be written to the file is very long that lead to timeout error in the system.

Solution

The timeout error happened when the format of PharLap Real Time File System is set to FAT File System.
This problem can be solved by changing the format to Reliance File System.
As shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2 below, on FAT File System when the number of folders exceed 700 there is sudden drop on the loop rate.
But on the Reliance File System the loop rate is faster and more stable when the number of folders increased.

Additional Information

The default format of the PXI RT File System is FAT File System.

Note: NI removed support for PharLap for cRIO in the NI 2020 Software Release and for PXI in the NI 2022 Software Release. For more information, please see the PharLap RT OS EOL Road Map.
