Issue Details

After performing DAQmx Bridge Offset Nulling Calibration, I get an error similar to the one shown below which indicates that the Maximum or Minimum values I have set for my task are outside the allowable bounds:

However, the specifications sheet for my device indicates that the range I have entered should be supported. Why am I receiving this error?

Solution

By performing DAQmx Bridge Offset Nulling Calibration, your device will use one of several methods to compensate for the initial offset voltage of your bridge (Refer to the device documentation to determine the offset nulling methods your device provides). Depending on the method used, the allowable range for your task's Maximum and Minimum values may change to ensure that the device will continue to operate within specifications after the offset has been compensated for. To resolve the error, make sure that the Maximum and/or Minimum property indicated by the error falls within the bounds set by the Value Must Be Greater Than and Value Must Be Less Than sections in the error message.

Additional Information

  • Ensure you have connected your sensor to the strain/bridge module.
  • Offset Null calibration can not be performed for simulated devices.
