Solution
This problem can be caused by several factors. To resolve it, follow the steps below:
- Check for graphics driver updates. It may be that the driver (specifically Hardware Acceleration features) is preventing data from being displayed correctly.
- Refer to your PC manufacturer's website to find the correct graphics driver.
- Run an update to ensure that the latest driver version is installed.
- Ensure that you have performed update on all graphic cards installed within the system to the latest version.
- Restart FlexLogger.
- Verify that the operating system is compatible with the installed version of FlexLogger.
- Refer to the FlexLogger download page and expand the Supported OS section to view a list of compatible operating systems.
- Using an unsupported operating system can result in unexpected behaviour.
- Ensure that the PC's CPU usage is at normal levels.
- Open Task Manager and navigate to the Processes tab.
- Scroll through the list of processes to identify FlexLogger.
- Check the CPU usage to ensure that this is not causing FlexLogger to freeze. Note: normal CPU usage varies depending on the active processes. Idle Windows 10 PCs should use around 2 - 4% of the CPU. Alternatively, browsing the internet with multiple tabs can result in 50% CPU usage. If the CPU usage reaches 100%, this indicates that a process is trying to use resources that are unavailable, which can result in applications freezing or crashing.
- To reduce CPU usage, consider ending processes that do not need to run and restarting the PC.
- Try reinstalling FlexLogger to remove the possibility of a corrupt software installation.
