Why PXIe-6594 Fiber Communication Doesn't Work In Low Power Mode?

Issue Details

When I enable QSFP low power mode of PXIe-6594, I see no data communication. I 'd like to know why and how to enable it to work in low power mode.

Solution

To enable the low power mode, all we do is to assert the LPMode pin on the QSFP module. The behavior of the QSFP module while in low power mode is module dependent. The optical cables in use tend to disable the transmission.
PXIe-6594 can still transmit data if we use a cable that supports transmission while low power mode is enabled.
