Refreshing Grafana Dashboards in SystemLink

Issue Details

When I click the refresh button on a Grafana dashboard the dashboard does not actually refresh the data. Relaunching the whole browser seems to help, is this expected? How can I refresh the data in my Grafana dashboard for SystemLink?

Solution

You can configure the caching time for the chart in the chart options. The default is 1 day (86400 s) to reduce the number of calls to the database but if this is data that needs to be viewed more frequently, you can update the cache period to a shorter time.

Additional Information

When you close and reopen your browser it clears the cache which is why the data is refreshed when you first open the dashboard but not necessarily when you press the refresh button
