Issue Details

Microsoft has put VBscript on its list of deprecated list since October 2023. What is the proposed NI stance for DIAdem now this has been announced since DIAdem still has extensive scripts in VBscript?

Solution

Historically, all Windows versions have been shipped with a VBScript Engine. Nevertheless, DIAdem has never used this Windows VBScript Engine. Instead DIAdem ships its own, heavily customized VBScript Engine, which has thousands of (green) DIAdem global variables and (red) DIAdem global commands that are not in the standard Windows VBScript Engine.
