Changing an IP address via the control panel can be challenging depending on the used OS. With the new NI Hardware Configuration Utility (HWCU) application, you can make this process fairly simple and in a more user friendly way as compared to performing this change through NI-MAX.

NI Hardware Configuration Utility is included in NI System Configuration, which helps you monitor and control various NI devices in a system. To install NI System Configuration, you can search it in NI Package Manager(NIPM), or get it from System Configuration Download Page.

To install the NI Hardware Configuration Utility application refer to the Overview section.

1. Once NI Hardware Configuration Utility application is open, the machine and all the NI hardware connected to it is visualized.
