Unhandled Exception in Network Configuration Extension Occur in NI MAX

Issue Details

When I am trying to view my CompactRIO Network Setting in NI MAX, the following error dialog boxes pop out.
After clicking OK to close all the dialog boxes, the Network Setting page is empty.

Message: System.Exception:Critical Error. Error 0x1709.

Solution

This error is caused by either a corrupted Silverlight or NI MAX installation.
Re-install NI MAX or upgrade NI MAX to version 21.0 and later to resolve the error.
If re-installing NI MAX did not solve the error, you will need to re-install LabVIEW as well.


 

Additional Information

If you are unable to install Silverlight due to company policy, you can upgrade to NI MAX 21.0 and later which does not depend on Silverlight. Please refer to the Related Links section for more details.
