Error -63150 Executing FPGA Application in a MXI-Express Thunderbolt PXI System

Issue Details

  • I have PXIe chassis connected to a host PC using MXI-Express Thunderbolt system. The following error occurred when I am executing an application that calls an FPGA reference.
  • Below error occurred when I am using RIO Device Setup to deploy my FPGA bitfile to the FPGA target in a MXIe Thunderbolt system.

Error -63150 occurred at an unidentified location
Possible reason(s):
An unspecified hardware failure has occurred. The operation could not be completed.

Solution

This error can be resolved by disabling the FPGA module in the Windows device manager and re-enable it again.

The above step needs to be done each time you restart the Windows PC.
You can automate the process using Windows Task Scheduler .

If this error happens with an FPGA device please update the BIOS.
