TestStand Runtime for 2023 Q4 and later is available bundled within the full TestStand 2023 Q4 installer. To install it on it's own, follow the steps below:

On the NI TestStand Download page, select your desired bitness and download it or install offline.
- Note: clicking Install Offline on the right-hand side of the page will download a mountable ISO file. This allows you to install the product without an internet connection.
- Launch the NI Package Manager download.
- On the Select tab of the installer, click Deselect All if you intend to install only the driver runtime and nothing else.

Click Next.

On the Review tab, verify that the Runtime support is included.
- Note: while NI Package Manager displays that "TestStand" is being installed, the full development environment will not be present after the installation. This is because the full development environment consists of multiple separate parts including the Sequence Editor, Process Models and User Interfaces, which were all deselected in step 3.

Click Next. NI Package Manager proceeds to install the selected items on the system.

Once complete, reboot the system. You now have the desired version of TestStand Runtime installed.
Additional Information
For some users, it may not be suitable to install TestStand Runtime via the full TestStand installer. In this scenario, it is possible to develop a custom installer that extracts and deploys only the TestStand Runtime component. To achieve this, it is necessary to:
- On a test machine, install TestStand Runtime via the steps documented in this article.
- Install NI Package Builder.
- Using Build a Custom Installer for Multiple Products Using the NI Package Builder as a reference, build a custom installer that includes only the TestStand Runtime package.
- Deploy this custom installer to your target systems instead of the full TestStand installer.
