Disabled C-State in BIOS of the PXIe-8840

The BIOS C-State setting may appear blank and default to [Enabled], which could make it seem unchangeable. This document will help you to disable the C-State feature in the BIOS of the PXIe-8840.

Disabled C-States in the BIOS.

1. Ensure the latest BIOS is installed.

2. Enter the BIOS by pressing <DEL> during boot.

3. Navigate to the Advanced menu.

4. Select System Profile Configuration.

5. Change the System Profile to Custom.

      • C-state may be greyed out if System Profile is set to OS Optimized

6. Change the C-state to Disabled.

      • Hyper-threading can be left Enabled.

7. Navigate to the Save & Exit menu.

8. Select Save and Restart.
