Blue Screen Caused by NI Pal System File

Issue Details

Every time I restart my computer I will see a bluescreen error pointing towards nipalk.sys. The error is page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

Solution

nipalk.sys is apart of NI-DAQmx, NI-VISA, NI-SCOPE, and NI-SWITCH. If you have one of these drivers installed on your system, you can either:
  • Reinstall the drivers, it is possible that the nipalk.sys file was corrupted and a new file is needed 
  • Upgrade the driver to install a new version of the nipalk.sys
