Error 63 Occurred When Using VCOM Toolkit in VeriStand

Issue Details

I am using the NI-VCOM to simulate the CAN messages. The CAN messages can be sent normally. However, after I use the RBS Descriptor to configure the checksum and counter, and then deploy the VeriStand project again, I get the following error:

Solution

This error is triggered because the SignalList.dat file in the RBSConfiguration folder is not in line with the signal tree in VeriStand. You have to update the VeriStand signal tree before you deploy the VeriStand project. There are 2 methods to avoid this error.
1. Delete all channels in the CAN channel in which you have modified the configuration in the RBS Descriptor, then add the channels again.
2. Delete the VCOM custom device and SignalList.date file, then add the VCOM custom device to do the configuration from the beginning. This method is highly recommended. 
Note: The VCOM VeriStand Custom Device is called NI:VCOM from VCOM 2023Q3 rather than Provetech:RBS.
