Solution

There are several possible causes for this issue. The steps below cover some troubleshooting steps for the most common causes.
  • Install the attached Microsoft_FPB_Disable.reg file.
  • Disable the Kernel DMA Protection and Intel Virtualization Technology for I/O (VT- d) from the BIOS
  • Disable Active State Power Management (ASPM) in your BIOS Settings by consulting your motherboard's manual. If your BIOS does not allow you to disable ASPM, configure it through your Windows Settings.
    • Open your Advanced Power Plan Settings.
    • Expand PCI Express and Link State Power Management.
    • For On Battery and Plugged In, open the drop-down menu and turn off the Link State Power Management setting. image (1).jpg
