Can the USB-628x Analog Input Filter Be Configured per Channel?

Issue Details

  • The specifications for the NI 6289 state that a filter can be enabled on the analog input channels. When enabled, does this affect all channels on the device?
  • Can I configure the USB-6281 analog input filter for each individual channel? Or does it apply to the entire board?

Solution

The analog input filter for the USB-628x applies to the entire device. A filter cannot be enabled or disabled for each individual channel.
The analog input filter can be set using the NI-DAQmx AI.Lowpass.Enable property.

Additional Information

If a low pass filter for each individual channel is required, it is recommended to connect an external filter to the device.
