What is the Maximum Number of Data Preprocessor Instances for a SystemLink Server?

Issue Details

  • I need to create lots of Data Preprocessor Instances on my SystemLink Server, but don't want to hit the maximum limit. What is the hard upper limit?
  • What is the total number of Data Preprocessor Instances that can be configured on SystemLink?

Solution

The maximum number of Data Preprocessor Instances that can be configured is 15. If this value is exceeded, the following error will appear:

Cannot create an additional instance. The Data Preprocessor instance count is limited to 15.

Additional Information

The performance of each Data Preprocessor Instance is linked to the available hardware resources on the server. A Data Preprocessor will use parallel Compute Nodes to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Increasing the number of parallel Compute Nodes will increase the CPU load.

Compute Nodes can be configured in the NI SystemLink TDM Configuration application.
