XNET Frame Information Channels Do Not Update in VeriStand

Issue Details

I am monitoring the sleep status of my empty CAN frames by using the XNET Frame Information channels, but the values do not update.
My Frame Information channels on the VeriStand screen stay at 0 for Receive Time and Time Difference, but I know the CAN network is active. Why?

Solution

The XNET driver requires at least one frame signal to be defined within the database file for the Frame Information channels of Receive Time and Time Difference to be updated for each frame.

If you are getting zero values for these, you could try the following:

Follow the NI-XNET Troubleshooting Guide to capture the most common causes of errors.
Ensure your frames have a signal defined within them. This can be customised using the NI-XNET Database Editor that installs with NI-XNET.
Verify using the NI-XNET Bus Monitor that you are receiving the frames as expected or use Raw Frame Logging within VeriStand to capture the frame and payload data for verification also.
