How do I resolve this issue?

Solution

This error comes from an incorrect connection to the NI-RIO server on the CompactRIO. To solve this try on of the following steps:

  • If you are using the NI Linux RT System Images, ensure NI-RIO Server is installed on the CompactRIO through NI MAX, or Hardware Configuration Utility.
  • If you are using the legacy CompactRIO image, ensure that the NI-RIO Server (Legacy) is installed on the CompactRIO through NI MAX, or Hardware Configuration Utility.
  • The issue can be caused also by the software installed on the host PC. Make sure to install and properly activate the required software for your NI RT target. If the software is already installed, try a repair or a fresh install.
