Associating LED To A Variable In VeriStand Stimulus Profile Editor

The following steps describe how to associate the LED to a variable in the VeriStand Stimulus Profile Editor.

1. Add the Round LED button from the Booleans tab on the screen NI VeriStand.

2. Create a new Alias.

  • Open the System Explorer window by clicking the button Configure…

  • In the System Explorer window right-click the Aliases (Left part of the window) and select Add Alias.

  • In the Name part type the name for the Alias (e. g. RoundLED).
  • Add the Linked Channel (e. g. Engine Temperature Alert)
  • After the Alias is created Save and close the System Explorer Window.
3. Go again to the VeriStand Screen where the Boolean LED was inserted. Choose the created Alias for the Boolean LED as shown in the screenshot below.

4. Open the Stimulus Profile editor, by navigating to the Tool Launcher tab.

5. In the Sequence file of the Stimulus Profile Editor insert a new Boolean parameter by right-clicking the Parameters tab.

6. In the Property Browser window, type the Identifier, and in Default Assignment raw select the newly created Alias.
