Error Code -380763 With nipxicms

Issue Details

I have a PXIe system, and while checking the Windows Event Viewer log, I noticed this error:
 
nipxicms
Service stopped due to error Code: -380763 Description:
{"error_constant":"timeoutErrorCode","file":".\\source\\niqpxi\\Session.cpp","line":224,"component":"niqpxi"}

What could be the cause of this error?
 

Solution

This error may appear if the PXI Chassis Management Service has stopped. You may notice that on NI-MAX, your PXIe hardware is not recognized. Specifically, the MXI Remote Controller and the chassis connected to it may appear as unknown devices.
 
To resolve the issue, update or reinstall your PXI Platform Services driver to the latest version supported by your operating system. In the Related Links section, you can find the document that lists the compatibility between the PXI Platform Services driver and the different operating systems.
 
If the previous step doesn't resolve the issue, open your Windows Services and apply these steps:
  1. Find the NI PXI Chassis Management Service and right-click on it. 
  2. Select Properties. 
  3. In the General tab, set the Startup type as Automatic. 
  4. Go to the Recovery tab and configure the Failure actions as Restart The Service.
  5. Go back to the General tab and start the service.
