I have been given a .bin3 file to use and I am unsure what this is. What is this file and how do I use this?

Solution

A .bin3 file is a data file that stores task-based browse paths, keywords and other information about example VIs for LabVIEW. This is created alongside custom examples to add these examples to the NI Example Finder, such as when distributing toolkits through VI Package Manager.

It is not possible to use this file on its own and must be used alongside example VIs.
