If the SystemLink license is loaded correctly, it will look like the image below. SystemLink licenses are managed concurrent for TDM-related functions and unmanaged concurrent for other SystemLink related licenses. In the image below, the sections labeled "Computer-Based Concurrent" are "Managed Concurrent," while the rest are "Unmanaged Concurrent."
Below are the differences between the two licenses type:
When using "Managed Concurrent", the server side must explicitly license the client, and if licensed, the client side NI License Manager will be green.
An "Unmanaged Concurrent" license does not require explicit licensing to the client on the server side and is automatically granted when the client requires a license. This form of network license does not turn green.
"Explicit License granting" refers to the section "3. Select and add the licenses to be distributed to this client PC" in the "Registering and approving client PCs and distributing (activating) licenses using the server PC's VLM" section of this document.
