Channeled Message Handler Template Missing From LabVIEW "Create Project" Menu

I'm looking to create a project in LabVIEW using the Channeled Message Handler template as a baseline, but the template is not listed in the "Create Project" window. Is this expected, and if not, how can I remedy this issue?

Solution

the Channeled Message Handler template was added to LabVIEW in LabVIEW 2020. If the template is not appearing in your list of project templates:
  1. If you are using LabVIEW 2019 or earlier, upgrade your version of LabVIEW to 2020 or newer.
  2. If you are using LabVIEW 2020 and the Channeled Message Handler template is still not appearing, the template may have been improperly installed or corrupted as a result of an installer error. Try uninstalling and reinstalling LabVIEW 2020 to address any potential installation errors that may have occurred.
