Environment

Hardware

  • PXI Controller

Software

  • LabVIEW
  • LabVIEW Real-Time Module

Operating System

  • LabVIEW Real-Time (NI Linux Real-Time)

The migration from NI Phar Lap ETS to NI Linux Real-Time means migrating your application from one operating system to another which takes several steps. This article is part of a series on migration to NI Linux RT:

  1. Determine compatibility

  2. Provision your PXI controller

  3. Install software

  4. Migrate Phar Lap application to NI Linux RT

Before starting the migration process, you will need to confirm that your PXI controller and PXI hardware is supported by the NI Linux RT operating system and the LabVIEW Real-Time Module. This document addresses compatibility in your system so you can continue migrating.

  1. Determine your PXI controller and NI Linux RT compatibility:
    1. Confirm that your PXI controller is supported on NI Linux RT.

    2. Review overall PharLap and LinuxRT controller support.

  2. Determine your PXI hardware and driver compatibility:
    1. Confirm that your PXI chassis and hardware is supported on NI Linux RT.

    2. Confirm that your PXI driver software is supported on the NI Linux RT .

  3. Determine your LabVIEW Real-Time Module compatibility.

Next Steps

After determining your system components are compatible, you can provision your controller to NI Linux RT.
