Issue Details

I used the sbRIO CLIP Generator to create a custom CLIP definition under the RIO Mezzanine Card for the sbRIO-9629. When I try to deploy a simple Flash LED code to the FPGA, it hangs and disconnects the board. Why is this happening?

Solution

When creating a CLIP definition under the sbRIO's Mezzanine Card make sure that all the pins are defined as the same I/O Standard. If not all the pins are defined as the same type I/O Standard, the target will hang and disconnect.

For example, for LVCMOS pins:

The same applies when using LVDS_25, LVTTL, or other I/O Standards.

Additional Information

The sbRIO CLIP Generator program will warn for incorrect pin configurations. Please pay special attention to these warnings.
