Issue Details

I am investigating some test case results from the EMV PCD Analog Test Suite, and I would like to know the sampling method used during waveform tests. I know that according the EMV, there are two possibilities: peak detection or asynchronous sampling.

What type of sampling is used in the EMV PCD Analog Test Suite?

Solution

The Contactless Test Station utilizes the embedded acquisition card to perform peak detection sampling during waveform tests. The CMR module detects the peak of the 13.56 MHz carrier and outputs the sample clock signal to the acquisition board. The acquisition board then uses that sampling clock signal to sample the signal.
