Compatibility of Measurement Studio With Multiple Version of Visual Studio in Same PC

Issue Details

I have multiple version of Microsoft Visual Studio installed in the same PC and want to use with NI Measurement Studio. Do I need to install different version of NI Measurement Studio? Can different version of NI Measurement Studio install in same PC? 

 

Solution

Yes but depending on the compatibility and requirement. The following table shows a part of the compatibility between NI Measurement Studio versions and different Microsoft Visual Studio.

Installing several version of NI Measurement Studio is not required as each version of Measurement Studio support 3 latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio aligned with the year Measurement Studio released. 

For example:
1. If you have Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 and Visual Studio 2015 in Windows 10, only Measurement Studio 2019 f1 is required. 
2. If you have Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 and Visual Studio 2013 in Windows 7, then both Measurement Studio 2019 f1 and 2015 are required.
 

Additional Information

NI will drop support for Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit), Windows Server 2008 R2, and all 32-bit Windows operating systems on NI Measurement Studio 2019 f1 starting in 2021.
