Solution

The UNC path is a shared network path and can be set with the following the steps:
  1. First, open the properties of the folder that specifies the path and select the Sharing tab. The folder displayed as Not shared cannot be accessed from another PC, so it cannot be published with SystemLink Web Application. By setting the sharing properties, you can create a UNC path and access this folder from another PC. However, in order to maintain security, the network administrator may not be able to set "sharing" for each company or institution, so it is necessary to confirm the information and security software settings with the network administrator.

If you are in an environment where you can change the Sharing settings, proceed as below to create the UNC path for the specified folder.
  1. Click the Share button.
  2. Select Everyone, click Add and, change the Permission Level to  Read/Write.
  3. Click Share.

  1. The folder's Sharing tab should display the Network Path which is the UNC path.
