Preview Color Is Not Displayed in NI Vision programs

Issue Details

  • When I change the attributes of object detection or pixel counting in Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI) version 2019 or older no preview color is displayed on the images. What could cause this issue?
  • When I select color threshold with Vision Assistant which is installed with Vision Development Module 2020, no preview image is appearing. How to fix this? 

Solution

This is a known issue related to 2020 Vision dll-s.  It affects Vision Assistant and Vision Builder AI 2019 and older when NI Vision 20.0 DLLs are installed. The issue was fixed in 2020 december patches.


Vision Builder AI version 2019 and older:
  If you don't have access to the newest driver:
 
  1. Uninstall Vision Acquisition Software 20.0 or newer driver
  2. Reinstall your VBAI version 2019 and older
  3. Install Vision Acquisition Software 19.5 driver

Vision Development Module 2020 / Vision Assistant:
If you don't have access to the newest version install any earlier version of Vision Development Module than 2020.
