Issue Details

I am following the forum guide Installing Software and Hardware Setup for NI TSN Devices to install the TSN Toolkit to my cRIO-9047. When I go to the LabVIEW Real-Time Software Wizard to select the toolkit's packages, I don't see the same list the forum shows. Why is this happening? How can I resolve this?

Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) is an update to the IEEE Ethernet standard intended to address the needs of control systems with standard Ethernet technology.

The issue seen during the installation can be caused by two reasons:
  • You have an incompatible version of the CompactRIO Driver such as the 19.X.
    • Use a CompactRIO Driver version that matches the TSN Toolkit's version.
  • You are installing a different version of the TSN Toolkit than the one being installed in the forum guide (v17.0).
    • Higher versions of the TSN Toolkit have deprecated packages. To see all the options shown in the guide, make sure you are using version 17.X of the TSN Toolkit.

Additional Information

The CompactRIO Driver controls which software can be installed on your cRIO device. Even if the TSN Toolkit package was downloaded to your PC, the driver dictates if the package is shown on the list or not. That is the reason why having an incompatible version of the driver affects the packages shown during the installation.
