I want to set initial conditions for my circuit simulation in Multisim, how can I do this?

First step is to set the initial conditions.
  • To set the initial conditions of a net:
  1. Double-click a wire of the net to open the Net Properties dialog.
  2. Go to the Simulation Settings tab, check the Use IC for Transient Analysis and enter your initial condition for the net.
  • To set the initial conditions for capacitors or inductors:
  1. Double-click the component to open the Properties window.
  2. Check the Initial Condition checkbox to enter the initial conditions for the component.
After the initial conditions for your circuit have been set, you have to tell the simulation engine to use the values you defined.
  • If you are using an instrument like an oscilloscope:
  1. Select Simulate>>Analyses and Simulation
  2. Select the Interactive Simulation section.
  3. Expand the Initial Condition list and select User-defined.
  • If you are using Transient Analysis:
  1. Select Simulate>>Analyses and Simulation
  2. Select the Transient section.
  3. Expand the Initial Condition list and select User-defined.
