NI ELVIS III and Emona ESSB-30 Board FGEN Pin Functionality

Issue Details

I have attached Emona SIGEx/ESSB-30 board to NI ELVIS III. By following laboratory manual I find out that FGEN pin of the board doesn't work. However FGEN output on ELVIS III works properly.

Solution

The short answer is that the function generator panel on the ESSB-30 board does not work because NI decided to remove the function generator outputs at the PCI connector of the ELVIS III. All ESSB-30 experiments for ELVIS III have been updated accordingly.
 

Additional Information

ESSB-30 is newer version of SIGEx board. SIGEx and ESSB-30 boards are functionally equal, so existing SIGEx boards are 100% compatible with ELVIS III.
Old SIGEx boards can be used with ELVIS III: but the user must download the ESSB-30 soft front panel (SFP) for ELVIS III and the updated experiments and user manual.
New ESSB-30 boards will also work on ELVIS II/+ but require the SIGEx SFP and manuals.
